I look forward to the Project Runway finale at the start of every season. I was a little unsure this year about the designer’s collection because none of them had really wowed me over the course of the season. I was really hoping Christopher would  make it to the finale; I thought his collection would have been innovative, fun, and fabulous!

But the three ladies who did present collections ended up not disappointing me. There were definite pieces from each collection that stood out. Here are a few of my favorites from each designer’s collection:

Irina

I love the shredded pants in the top look. I would totally rock those! And the over-sized sweater/jacket in the second look would be perfect for winter, but it looks like pieces Irina has already done.

Althea

I love the harem pants and jacket in the first look: totally wearable and fashionable. And the second look was my favorite from all the collections. I don’t know why, but I’m completely in love with this green dress and leather jacket.

Carol Hannah

I thought Carol Hannah’s dresses were by far the most fashion-forward and fun of all the collections. The first look actually had me picking up my jaw when I saw it. The second dress completely stood out, and I would love to wear it to a cocktail party with an amazing pair of ankle booties.

Some of the looks are available on the Project Runway website now, but they are currently only auctioning off the actual runway looks…which are sizes 0-2. Hopefully the site will take a cue from The Fashion Show and sell versions of the looks. I’d definitely give my credit card a workout for that!
