Okay, I did it. I bought the Express Sequin Short I blogged about last week. I was trying to decide between the short and a pair of sequin leggings. Ultimately the short won out because I decided the leggings were just too much sequin. Who knew there was such a thing!?!

Now my dilemma: What do I wear with the short? I’m definitely putting tights under them. They’re a little too bare for my liking. For the top, I’m thinking perhaps a simple, loose-fitting white t-shirt with a vest and a wide belt. Something very Blake Lively, like this:

I may, instead, pair them with a black button-down shirt, stacks of pearls, colored tights, and a neutral bootie. Either way, I can guarantee I’ll be rockin’ these at a holiday party or two. They’ll be a welcome addition to my cocktail party dress rotation, for sure!
